Registered Nurse (Dialysis)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work in a dialysis centre, providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing acute or chronic renal treatment. The role involves patient admission, clinical monitoring, and coordination with the billing and medical teams to ensure high‑quality, safe dialysis services.

Key responsibilities

• Admit patients, record medical and surgical histories, and update information according to unit protocols.
• Obtain dialysis prescriptions from nephrologists and ensure machines are disinfected, lined, and primed with correct consumables.
• Weigh patients, calculate dry weight and fluid removal, and monitor baseline vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and document all patient data accurately using the Euclid and TDMS databases.
• Educate patients on renal disease, treatment options, lab results, support services, and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain stock levels, follow infection‑control and immunisation policies, and comply with all FMC SOPs.
• Report incidents, ensure medico‑legal documentation, and perform any additional duties assigned by the Clinic Head Nurse.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with a valid nursing license.
• Experience in renal or dialysis nursing preferred.
• Ability to follow strict clinical protocols and infection‑control standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping skills.
