About the role

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the surgical team at AniCura Aarhus Dyrehospital. The position involves close collaboration with both oncology and surgical colleagues in a newly renovated, state‑of‑the‑art animal hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures on dogs and cats in six fully equipped operating rooms.
• Participate in on‑call duty and contribute to the hospital’s emergency service.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, intensive‑care specialists, and radiologists.
• Engage in continuous peer‑to‑peer training while pursuing formal postgraduate surgical education.

Required profile

• At least two years of veterinary surgical experience (or completion of an internship).
• Willingness to undertake a formalized postgraduate program such as a master’s degree in surgery.
• Motivation to develop further surgical expertise within a high‑volume referral centre.

Required skills

• Veterinary surgical techniques.
• Intensive care unit (ICU) management.
• Diagnostic imaging (X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound).
• Laboratory diagnostics.
