About the role
The Care Worker will support the Neonatal Critical Care Unit team in delivering safe, high‑quality patient care. Working closely with nursing staff, the role focuses on assisting with clinical and administrative tasks to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Key responsibilities
- Support and assist nursing unit staff in delivering quality patient care within a team approach.
- Identify and report risks in line with hospital policies.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting nursing staff.
- Provide administrative support as specified.
- Participate in continuous personal development to build staff competence.
- Ensure efficient utilisation and accurate charging of required stock.
Required profile
- Appropriate qualification as a Care Worker (essential).
- Grade 12 (desired).
- Experience in a healthcare environment (essential).
Required skills
- Understanding of stock control principles.
- Ability to report and document events/tasks.
- Knowledge of medico‑legal risks.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks.
- Understanding of patient experience and care principles.
- Application of infection prevention and control principles.
