Instructional Designer (Remote)

About the role

ELVTR is a fast-growing online education company connecting professionals with industry leaders such as Nike, Netflix, Google and Amazon, offering more than 200 live online courses across 12 industries. It is looking for a highly organized and creative Instructional Designer for a full-time, remote position based in South Africa. The role works with instructors and cross-functional teams to develop engaging online courses from planning through production and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end production of live online courses, from planning through launch
• Conduct market research and help define course objectives, learning outcomes and target audiences
• Manage production timelines, priorities and deliverables so projects stay on schedule
• Partner with instructors, guiding them through course preparation and rehearsals
• Work with Marketing, Creative, Sales and Student Success teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences
• Review course materials, marketing content and sales collateral for clarity, accuracy and educational value
• Identify and resolve production challenges while keeping project momentum
• Stay informed on industry trends, instructional design best practices and emerging learning technologies, and share ideas and feedback to improve courses and processes

Required profile

• Experience in instructional design, course production, project management or a related field
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities
• Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving
• Outstanding written and spoken English
• Comfortable collaborating with senior professionals and subject matter experts
• Able to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment and across multiple time zones
• Experience with online education or EdTech is a plus
