About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide comprehensive on‑site support across all divisions. You will manage recruitment, payroll, employee relations, training, and benefits, ensuring smooth HR operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: advertise vacancies, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires using platforms such as PNet and LinkedIn.
  • Prepare employment contracts, starter packs, and maintain personnel data in the SAGE 300 People system.
  • Capture employee information, process payroll administration, and keep all documentation up to date.
  • Draft promotion, salary increase, job title, and grade change letters while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support Employment Equity reporting and contribute to the Training Committee.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary hearings, grievances, and represent the company at the CCMA when required.
  • Administer medical aid registrations, retirement fund withdrawals, and respond to benefits queries.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years of full‑cycle HR generalist experience, including industrial relations.
  • Strong communication skills, high professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with SAGE 300 People system (essential).
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Experience using online recruitment platforms (e.g., PNet, LinkedIn) and background‑check tools (e.g., MIE, Lexis Nexis).
