Recruitment Consultant – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

This is a remote recruitment consultant position based in South Africa, supporting a fast‑growing UK construction recruitment business. You will work closely with experienced UK consultants and directors to deliver high‑volume recruitment across the built environment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support UK‑based consultants and directors with recruitment delivery.
• Conduct market mapping and research to identify target candidates and companies.
• Source, headhunt, and engage candidates via calls, LinkedIn, job boards and networking.
• Screen CVs and assess candidate suitability for live vacancies.
• Manage and maintain candidate pipelines across multiple roles.
• Coordinate interviews and guide candidates through the recruitment process.
• Build long‑term relationships with candidates within the UK construction market.
• Maintain accurate CRM and recruitment system records.
• Work toward agreed activity and performance targets.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure successful placements and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months of recruitment experience.
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to professionals over the phone.
• Excellent relationship‑building and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Self‑sufficient and able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
• Positive, proactive and resilient mindset.
• Team player with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
