Hotel Cleanliness Expert (Self Checker)

About the role

Our Hotel Cleanliness Experts (Self‑Checker) ensure that guest rooms and public areas meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to a memorable guest experience at our Cape Town property.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect assigned guest rooms, verify status, prioritize cleaning, and update room status for departing guests.
• Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, and Laundry to coordinate efforts and resolve discrepancies.
• Document and communicate issues with rooms to supervisors and ensure changes in assignments are recorded for the next shift.
• Welcome guests, respond to service requests, and uphold safety, security, and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Room Attendant in a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Computer literacy and a professional, positive disposition.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb unaided.
