Driver – Packaged Distribution (Plant & External)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Driver to handle packaged distribution both inside our plant and to external locations. The role involves transporting raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently while supporting the distribution team as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a truck/tractor to deliver products and raw materials within the plant and to off‑site destinations.
• Perform Packaged Distribution Assistant duties, including loading, unloading and inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, maintaining high standards of safety, health, environment, risk and quality (SHERQ).
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with a Dangerous Goods Permit.
• Minimum 3 years of truck/tractor driving experience.
• At least 1 year experience in a production environment and 1 year in an explosives environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently without supervision.

Required skills

• Truck driving skills under all road conditions.
• Code 14 driver’s licence with Dangerous Goods Permit.
• Mechanical ability (advantageous).
• Fault finding / troubleshooting.
