Director of Revenue Management

About the role

The Director of Revenue Management leads the Commercial Strategy team for Cape Grace, a Fairmont‑managed luxury hotel in Cape Town. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, the role shapes the overall profitability strategy across rooms, food & beverage, and spa, while safeguarding the brand’s premium positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute revenue‑growth strategies for all key customer segments and revenue centres.
• Oversee the Reservations Department, ensuring alignment of inventory control, call conversion, and guest‑service standards with revenue goals.
• Maintain data quality, perform deep analysis, and provide actionable intelligence to corporate, regional, and ownership stakeholders.
• Act as system owner for all revenue‑management technology, driving continuous improvement and mentoring the team on best practices.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to integrate pricing, distribution, and promotional initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in hotel revenue management, preferably within luxury or upscale properties.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical mindset and data‑driven decision‑making capability.
• Demonstrated ability to align revenue tactics with brand positioning and guest experience.
