Debtors Clerk – Private School in Faerie Glen, Pretoria

About the role

A well‑established private school in Faerie Glen, Pretoria is looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented Debtors Clerk to join their team immediately. If you have strong debtors experience, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic school environment, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain debtor account records accurately
• Process invoices, statements, credit notes, refunds, and account adjustments
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and manage collections
• Send monthly statements and payment reminders
• Handle debtor queries and resolve account discrepancies
• Compile debit order lists and age analysis reports
• Liaise with parents/customers regarding payment arrangements
• Escalate problematic accounts when necessary
• Assist with reception duties, telephone support, and gate security when required
• Support tuckshop operations and administration of extramural and sports payments

Required profile

• Previous debtors and debt collection experience
• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Excellent administrative and communication skills
• Non‑smoker
• Clear criminal record

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Pastel
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
