Contract Representative – Telecom Network Projects

About the role

The Contract Representative will oversee the execution of cable build and maintenance contracts within the Telkom network. This role ensures that material, deliveries, and project milestones are managed efficiently, while maintaining compliance with Telkom procedures and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement, including catalogue and non‑catalogue items, and oversee deliveries and scrap handling.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare request for material (RFM), and develop cost estimates and bill of quantities.
• Monitor daily project progress, compile progress reports, and manage reinstatements and quality control.
• Facilitate final project acceptance, arrange final meetings, and ensure accurate final payments and wayleave returns.
• Analyse network access records, investigate discrepancies, and produce investigative reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring telecom infrastructure contracts and material logistics.
• Ability to conduct site visits, perform quantity surveys, and prepare cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of Telkom procedures and relevant legal processes.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to escalate issues promptly.

Required skills

• Familiarity with telecom material categories such as ALC, civil, masonry, jointing, hauling, transmission, microwave, and radio.
• Knowledge of contract monitoring and project documentation processes.
