Contract Representative (Telecom Projects)

About the role

The Contract Representative will oversee the execution of cable build and maintenance contracts within the Telkom network. The role ensures that material, project milestones, and contractual obligations are managed efficiently from initial site surveys through final payment and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and storage, ensuring surplus returns and proper documentation.
• Obtain acceptance and compliance certificates, conduct final quality control, and manage final meetings and payments.
• Process orders and instructions, verify technical requirements, and prioritize activities.
• Conduct initial site visits to assess feasibility, prepare quantity surveys, cost estimates, and secure work permits.
• Monitor daily project progress, compile snag lists, perform inspections, and address customer complaints.
• Verify network access records, analyse reports, and submit findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Familiarity with Telkom procedures and relevant legal processes.
• Experience in managing telecom or infrastructure contracts, including material handling and project monitoring.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation, reports, and compliance certificates.
