Chief Financial Investigator – Financial Investigations

About the role

Provide strategic planning and implementation of financial investigations, coordinate stakeholder relations and manage national investigative projects within the National Prosecuting Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and implementation of financial investigations.
• Coordinate and manage stakeholder relations related to financial investigations.
• Manage national financial investigative projects and associated administrative functions.

Required profile

• B-degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Forensic Investigations, Forensic Auditing, Criminal Investigation or equivalent.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners accreditation.
• Minimum eight years of experience, including five years in management.
• Demonstrated competency in independent, professional, accountable, and credible conduct, with strategic leadership abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Constitution of South Africa, Prevention of Organised Crime Act, NPA Act, and asset forfeiture laws.

Required skills

• Processing of digital forensic images using indexing, filtering, automation and visual identification tools.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Use of visual presentation software for data analysis and reporting.
