Audit Senior – UK Engagements (Cape Town)

About the role

The Audit Senior will take ownership of UK audit engagements while working from our Cape Town office. You will collaborate closely with a UK‑based accountancy firm, ensuring audits are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork, ensuring testing is robust and aligned with audit risk plans.
• Monitor audit progress and provide regular updates to the Audit Manager or Director.
• Maintain clear, cross‑referenced audit documentation to support conclusions.
• Manage day‑to‑day client information flow, chasing outstanding data and clarifying queries with the UK team.
• Coordinate daily workflow, work‑plans, sample trackers and outstanding items lists.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of audit experience, preferably within the UK.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or part‑qualified.
• Proven ability to lead audit fieldwork and manage timelines.
• Strong client‑service orientation and professional communication skills.
