Associate General Counsel – Privacy

About the role

Join MRI Software’s global legal team as an Associate General Counsel focused on privacy and AI. You will work at the intersection of technology, data, and business strategy, helping a leading real‑estate software company navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on global, state, and federal privacy and cybersecurity laws.
• Elevate and evolve existing privacy programs to support enterprise‑wide compliance.
• Lead privacy and data‑security due‑diligence efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and product launches.
• Advise on technology product development, commercial contracting, and AI governance.
• Handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 7+ years of in‑house legal experience, including at least 5 years focused on privacy law.
• Management experience and ability to act as a senior business partner.
• Authorization to work in the applicable jurisdiction.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience with AI governance and emerging technology risk assessment.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance.
