Senior Project Contract Manager & Country Head of Contract Management

About the role

Alstom is seeking a senior professional to lead contract management at country level while also overseeing high‑criticality project contracts. The role blends strategic leadership of the national contract management function with hands‑on responsibility for complex contractual, claim and risk matters, ensuring the company’s commercial and financial interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

• Drive all contract management activities, coordinating with project contract managers and administrators as needed.
• Define and justify the size of the contract management team supporting each project.
• Ensure consistent application of the Contract, Claims and Insurance Management Manual (CCIM) and Alstom governance.
• Prepare and maintain Contract Summary documents and communicate updates widely.
• Develop the Contract Management Strategy Plan (CMSP) with the core project team and organise Contract Management Days.
• Analyse contracts to implement and update claim and risk strategies on a quarterly basis.
• Monitor project schedules against contractual milestones and issue timely contractual notices to customers and partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in contract management for large, complex transport or infrastructure projects.
• Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to influence regional and central contract management functions.
• Hands‑on expertise in handling contractual, claim and risk issues.
• Excellent communication skills to act as the primary interface with internal and external stakeholders.
