About the role
Our client, a leading travel and safari tourism company in Durbanville, is looking for a proactive and organised Travel Coordinator and Personal Assistant. You will support the Directors by managing complex travel itineraries, handling administrative duties, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Design, plan and coordinate local and international travel itineraries and safari packages.
- Build, price and market travel tours; negotiate rates with lodges, hotels and suppliers.
- Manage reservations, amendments and full travel logistics, liaising with safari operators and tourism suppliers.
- Provide professional client communication and end‑to‑end travel execution.
- Handle diary and calendar management for directors, email prioritisation, and daily task tracking.
- Coordinate property inspections, maintenance follow‑ups and general business operations support.
- Assist with special‑needs child care, domestic staff instructions, and personal scheduling where required.
Required profile
- Matric qualification plus a relevant travel certificate.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in travel and tour coordination.
- Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
- Experience with Rest Request and Safari Office systems.
- Strong, adaptable personality with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and a valid driver’s licence with own vehicle.
