Finance Manager – Private Wealth & Family Office

About the role

This position offers a qualified CA(SA) the chance to lead financial operations within a discreet private‑wealth and family‑office environment. You will support the preservation and growth of multi‑generational assets while working alongside seasoned investment, tax and legal advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function for multiple entities, trusts and investment structures.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and board reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, consolidated reporting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support investment portfolio tracking, performance analysis and asset allocation.
• Analyse new investment opportunities and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
• Liaise with wealth managers, stockbrokers and investment advisors.
• Oversee tax compliance for individuals, trusts and companies and ensure regulatory compliance (SARS, CIPC).
• Manage audits, statutory submissions and trust administration.
• Maintain governance records, legal documentation and build relationships with external stakeholders.
• Uphold strict confidentiality in all matters.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with a minimum of 5 years post‑articles experience.
• Experience in wealth management, family office, fiduciary or private client environments.
• Strong understanding of trusts, tax and multi‑entity structures.
• Advanced Excel and financial‑modelling capability.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion.
• Advantageous: exposure to offshore structures, foreign investments, estate‑planning knowledge, property or alternative‑investment experience.
