About the role
The Barman is responsible for accurately mixing and serving alcoholic, non‑alcoholic and coffee products to guests and service staff in a friendly, fast and efficient manner. The role focuses on front‑of‑house service and stock management.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails and specialised beverages.
- Manage bar stock and ensure the front‑of‑house area is well‑maintained.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- 1–2 years of Barman experience.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Effective communication with staff and guests.
- Honest, trustworthy and detail‑oriented.
- Presentable and well‑spoken.
- Team player who leads by example and is proactive.
Required skills
- All‑round bar skills, including cocktail making and specialised drink preparation.
- Familiarity with a hospitality management system (HMS), preferably Protel.
