About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic youth workers to supervise and manage participants during the Sondeza Afri Youth Camp held from 2–11 December 2026. The role includes attending a compulsory two‑day training session prior to the camp.
Key responsibilities
- Provide supervision and manage youth throughout the 10‑day camp.
- Attend compulsory training on 13–14 November 2026 in Malmesbury.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification with post‑school experience in youth work.
- Age between 22 and 28 years and South African citizenship.
- Own transport to attend training in Malmesbury.
- Medium physical fitness level.
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
- Previous attendance at Sondeza youth camps is an advantage.
Required skills
- Leadership and responsibility.
- Interpersonal and coordination abilities.
- Adaptability on short notice and facilitating skills.
- Administrative competence and reliability.
- Degree or diploma in Education, Social Science or youth work.
- Experience with youth development or community projects.
What we offer
- Stipend of R1 500 plus cell‑phone airtime.
