Warehouse Assistant – Automotive Parts

About the role

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to manage inbound, outbound and inventory control activities in their Isando facility. The role ensures accurate traceability of parts, maintains high accuracy rates and supports a safe, organised warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and inspect incoming parts against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Perform data dotting to maintain full traceability of all serialized parts.
• Bin, pick and pack stock according to system requirements and dispatch schedules.
• Complete Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) within 24 hours of receipt.
• Assist with cycle counts, stock takes and variance investigations.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Operate forklifts (where licensed) and support vehicle loading/unloading.
• Process all warehouse transactions accurately in the business system.
• Conduct branch, dealer and supplier collections and deliveries as required.
• Participate in parts standby duties on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in an automotive or parts environment.
• Valid forklift licence (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and commitment to safety and quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (licensed).
• Data dotting for serialized parts.
• Warehouse management system usage for receiving, picking, packing and inventory transactions.
