About the role
The Storeman Assistant supports the efficient operation of the store by handling stock ordering, receipt, issuance and record‑keeping. The role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with ordering and receiving of goods and spares.
- Issue equipment and maintain a tools‑on‑loan register.
- Keep the store clean, organized and ready for daily operations.
- Support monthly stock‑take activities.
- Drive collection and delivery of items as required.
- Maintain job cards and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Outlook for stock management and communication.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar store or inventory role.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Proactive, results‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
