Vice President, Identity & Security – Africa Lead

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead its Identity & Security portfolio across Africa. The role combines strategic sales leadership with deep knowledge of identity, fraud and cyber‑payment solutions to drive growth and customer adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the go‑to‑market strategy for Identity, Financial Crimes, Fraud Solutions and Cyber for Payments product lines in Africa.
• Transform the sales model to accelerate growth and cross‑sell with Ethoca, Risk Recon, Recorded Future and other regional services.
• Partner with B2B Marketing and Lead Generation to build a robust pipeline and manage deals from inception to close.
• Lead, coach and motivate a specialist sales team, ensuring both team and individual quota achievement.
• Own pipeline, bookings and revenue targets, aligning sales activities with customer priorities.
• Collaborate with partnership and customer success teams to expand existing relationships.

Required profile

• Senior executive with proven experience leading sales teams in the payments or security sector.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver revenue growth and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of identity, fraud and cyber‑security solutions.
• Experience operating in the African market and managing regional stakeholder relationships.
