Telesales Cold Calling Agent

About the role

The Telesales Cold Calling Agent will work primarily on outbound call lists to generate sales or schedule appointments with potential clients. The role involves both cold‑calling and handling inbound enquiries, ensuring a high level of service for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls from landlines or a dial‑ler system for 90% of the working day to achieve sales or appointment targets.
• Answer inbound calls and respond to specific customer enquiries.
• Transfer calls to relevant departments when required.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints or escalate when necessary.
• Verify customer information and meet quality assurance standards.
• Achieve daily call volume, strike‑rate, and target metrics for sales, appointments, or technical bookings.
• Collaborate with team members to address operational issues in the contact centre.

Required profile

• Matric or post‑matric qualification (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service.
• At least 1 year cold‑calling experience in a sales call centre.
• Minimum of 1 year administration experience in a client‑centric environment.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
