Systems Administrator (CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux LPIC-1)

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to configure, maintain, and support enterprise systems across multiple branches and data centres in Johannesburg. The role ensures high availability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, virtual machines, and web platforms.
• Monitor system health, backups, capacity, and performance.
• Implement patches, updates, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, performance, and access issues.
• Support disaster recovery, data restoration, and backup systems.
• Collaborate with Network Administrators and IT Support teams.
• Maintain system documentation, licences, and configurations.
• Perform basic infrastructure and UPS operational checks.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications.
• Linux LPIC‑1 certification.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT Support/System Administration within a medium to large corporate environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Dell or HP server hardware.
• Advantageous: VMware certification and MCSE.
