IM Technician – IT & OT Support

About the role

The IM Technician will join the Anglo American IM Support team to deliver high‑quality IT and Operational Technology (OT) services. The role focuses on maintaining system integrity, ensuring maximum availability, and supporting infrastructure across network, server, and end‑user environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain network, server, and end‑user infrastructure, including troubleshooting, account management and user training.
• Maintain, optimise and support hardware, software, applications and OT devices.
• Perform industry‑standard testing to diagnose and resolve system and network faults.
• Resolve cross‑functional technical issues and provide clear explanations to non‑technical users.
• Document ticket resolution accurately and meet SLA requirements.
• Identify high‑risk areas in the IM environment and propose mitigation solutions.
• Adhere to SOPs, technical documentation, architectural standards and health & safety requirements.
• Support team professionalism, clean work environment and flexible shift coverage.
• Assist management with KPI setting, performance feedback and training plans.
• Validate financial inputs such as overtime, standby, PPE and claims before submission.

Required profile

• Experience working with OT environments, especially in mining or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with health & safety compliance and SLA‑driven service delivery.
• Ability to work independently, document work clearly and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
