Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of an AWS‑centric microservices platform that powers analytics and market‑data products for global brokers. Working in a 24x7 financial services environment, you will use deep AWS knowledge and Python expertise to automate operations, debug production services, and support continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage AWS services (ECS/EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront) and respond to alerts from CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Diagnose scaling, networking, and performance issues across distributed AWS systems and lead incident response.
• Develop Python scripts and CLI tools to automate operational tasks, system checks, and data validation.
• Analyze microservice behavior, read logs, debug issues, and profile performance using boto3 and custom scripts.
• Maintain stability of charting engines, data ingestion pipelines, market‑data feeds, scanning engines, and sentiment analysis services.
• Validate deployments and configurations, ensuring data completeness and accuracy across instruments and markets.

Required profile

• Strong independent judgment in assessing incident severity and determining response strategies.
• Experience working in a high‑traffic, globally distributed infrastructure with mission‑critical uptime.
• Ability to collaborate with development teams during critical incidents and outages.

Required skills

• Amazon Web Services (ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront)
• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Datadog
• Python programming, including boto3 and CLI development
• REST APIs, WebSocket streams, asynchronous workers
• Linux/Unix command line proficiency
