Stock Team Leader

About the role

The Stock Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all stock management activities within the warehouse, ensuring alignment between stock on the floor and stock on hand, and driving cost efficiencies. This role leads a team to maintain accurate inventory records, manage pallet systems, and uphold food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily alignment of stock on floor and stock on hand, investigating and resolving variances.
• Reconcile inbound and outbound processes, including PD, SD, third‑party, production, and Chep pallet management.
• Manage Chep pallet costs, transactions, and operational requirements.
• Perform daily write‑ups, write‑downs, and proper stock age management, including write‑offs and salvaging.
• Drive reduction of unaccountable and accountable waste, and control warehouse costs.
• Leverage information systems to meet KPI targets and improve asset care.
• Maintain compliance with food safety (FSSC) and quality standards, reporting any breaches.
• Provide continuous training, coaching, and performance management for the stock team.
• Plan resources, manage change, and ensure effective stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or stock management with a focus on reconciliation and cost control.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
• Knowledge of food safety (FSSC) and quality standards in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to analyse data, drive KPI performance, and implement process improvements.
