Truck Driver

About the role

Big Joes is seeking a full‑time Truck Driver to join its logistics team in Durban. The driver will be responsible for moving goods safely and on schedule while representing the company’s commitment to reliability and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintain compliance.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Load and unload deliveries, handling manual tasks as required.
• Accurately document deliveries and maintain records.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service while on the road.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with an excellent driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving and unloading deliveries.
• Thorough understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Physical capability to handle manual loading and unloading tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
