About the role

Clicks Group is recruiting a Shop Assistant / Cashier at Clicks Umhlanga Netcare in Umhlanga, KwaZulu‑Natal. This permanent entry‑level retail position focuses on customer service, cashiering, POS operations and merchandising, and is offered as an Employment Equity opportunity.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the POS system and scan merchandise accurately.
• Process customer payments and handle cash safely.
• Promote the Clicks ClubCard and inform customers about promotions.
• Provide friendly customer service and maintain merchandising standards.
• Keep the store area clean and stay updated on products and promotions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Computer literacy.
• Basic maths and numeracy skills.
• Good communication and customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems.
• Advantageous: retail or FMCG experience, previous cashier experience, customer‑facing experience.
