Senior Transport Engineer

About the role

The Senior Transport Engineer will lead transport planning and traffic engineering services for medium to large road and highway projects. Reporting to the Section Manager, the role combines project management, technical oversight, and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver medium/large transport projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, assign work, and review deliverables.
• Develop and author technical reports, bid responses, and design documentation.
• Control project budgets, resources, and outsourcing arrangements.
• Conduct client visits, build relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
• Supervise engineers and technicians in inspections and compliance checks.
• Develop and improve design procedures and coordinate surveys and investigations.

Required profile

• BEng or BTech degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in traffic impact assessments, transport planning, policy development, survey design, and technical reporting.
• Strong understanding of transport economics and finance is advantageous.
