Senior Full-Stack Data Scientist

About the role

A senior, full‑stack Data Scientist who can comfortably move between data engineering and analysis. You will build pipelines, create dashboards used daily by the business, and turn customer, claims and network usage questions into actionable insights for leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own data work end‑to‑end, including ingestion, modelling, dashboards and reports.
• Build and operate pipelines using Python, SQL, PostgreSQL and an orchestrator such as Airflow, Prefect or Dagster.
• Design BI dashboards in QuickSight or a similar tool that are actively used by the business.
• Interpret data with existing models to answer questions about customers, claims and network usage.
• Define metrics and partner with product, operations and risk teams on measurement.
• Document decisions, methodology and edge cases to enable reproducibility.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience across data engineering and analytics.
• Strong portfolio of production dashboards and pipelines.
• South African work authorization.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics or Actuarial Science (preferred universities listed).
