About the role
We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant (EA or CPA) to work remotely on a contract basis, preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Ensure all filings comply with current tax laws and regulations.
- Research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
Required profile
- Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software such as Drake.
What we offer
- Contract position with an hourly rate of $20‑$30.
- Fully remote work with flexible scheduling.
