Project Coordinator – Advocacy & Partner Capacity Strengthening

About the role

The Project Coordinator will support the implementation of the We See Equal Programme, focusing on strengthening local civil‑society partners, generating learning, and advancing advocacy for gender equality, child participation and safe school environments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of project activities according to approved plans, budgets and timelines.
• Support and mentor civil‑society partners to strengthen safeguarding, child participation, programme quality and MEAL systems.
• Facilitate advocacy activities, develop policy briefs, learning papers and other advocacy materials.
• Engage with schools, district and provincial education stakeholders to promote gender equality and safe learning environments.
• Collect, analyse and report programme data, ensuring compliance with donor and Save the Children standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Social Auxiliary Work, Community Development, Child Rights, Development Studies or a related field.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Entry‑level experience in advocacy, child protection, youth development or civil‑society capacity strengthening.
• Experience working with CSOs, facilitating organisational development and producing reports or policy briefs.
• Strong understanding of child participation, safeguarding and gender‑equality programming.
