Professor / Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer – Business School

About the role

The Business School at NMU is seeking senior academic staff to lead teaching and research in entrepreneurship, marketing, organisational development, people management, sustainable development (ESG) and strategy. The position is open to candidates at the level of Professor, Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer, who will contribute to MBA and other postgraduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership to staff and students across the Business School.
• Facilitate learning processes and outcomes for MBA and related programmes.
• Direct academic and industry engagement, ensuring relevance and impact.
• Conduct, publish and supervise high‑quality research.
• Perform administrative and management duties within the School.

Required profile

• Relevant Doctoral degree (PhD) in a business‑related discipline.
• For Professor level: minimum two years experience as an Associate Professor; for Associate Professor: three to seven years relevant experience; for Senior Lecturer: one to five years relevant experience.
• Significant business or consulting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Extensive experience facilitating learning for adult and postgraduate students.
• Track record of publishing in accredited journals and presenting at conferences.
• Successful supervision of Masters and Doctoral candidates.
