Procurement Analyst – Engineering, Capex & IT

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support the Engineering, Capex and IT categories within its Group Services Division. Based in Westville, the analyst will work closely with the Sourcing Manager to analyse spend, develop category strategies and drive value‑adding sourcing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse group spend data and support the creation of category strategies for engineering, capital expenditure and IT.
• Develop short‑ and medium‑term sourcing plans (1‑3 years) and execute sourcing events in line with the category strategy.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, build decision matrices and manage contract negotiations to secure best‑value agreements.
• Collaborate with business line managers, buyers and operational teams to increase contract coverage and monitor supplier performance.
• Identify demand for goods and services, define specifications and assess supplier options.

Required profile

• Degree in commerce, management, supply‑chain management or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or category management.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and achieve cost reductions.
• Valid EB driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Power BI for reporting and visualisation.
• Experience with Coupa or similar digital sourcing platforms.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
