General Worker – Assistant Driver

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced General Worker to act as an Assistant Driver, responsible for ensuring that loading and off‑loading operations are carried out safely and efficiently. This role supports the driver and logistics team in daily transport activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods at warehouses, docks, and delivery sites.
• Secure cargo using appropriate restraints and verify that loads are balanced.
• Operate basic handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts where authorised.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the vehicle and loading area.
• Follow all health, safety and traffic regulations during operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a general worker or assistant driver in a logistics environment.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items.
• Ability to work collaboratively with drivers and warehouse staff.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
