Packaging Technical Expert

About the role

The Packaging Technical Expert is responsible for systematically improving equipment reliability and optimizing maintenance costs for selected machine groups within a brewery environment. The role works closely with Zone Technical Experts, Vendor Technical Experts and brewery personnel to achieve high uptime, safety, quality and resource efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy and risk‑free working environment for the assigned machine group.
• Ensure equipment complies with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Coach artisans and operators to achieve 100% uptime, zero safety and quality incidents, and controlled resource usage.
• Drive autonomous operations through hands‑on execution of defined steps.
• Restore equipment to an “as new” condition and support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Use data‑driven techniques to develop, improve and optimise maintenance plans and spare‑parts inventories.
• Identify skill gaps, design technical training interventions and codify knowledge in SOPs and SWIs.
• Participate in problem‑solving activities (5‑Why, abnormality reports, PDCA/ITF) to ensure correct root‑cause identification and preventive actions.
• Manage machine‑related projects to improve reliability, quality and cost, delivering on time and within budget.
