Manufacturing Merchandiser – Ladieswear (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Manufacturing Merchandiser with a strong background in Ladieswear apparel manufacturing. The successful candidate will manage the product lifecycle from development through production, quality and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and buyers on product development and range execution.
• Manage garment costing, quotations and pricing to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
• Source fabrics, trims and accessories while negotiating favourable supplier terms.
• Coordinate pre‑production and production processes to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Monitor production quality standards in partnership with QA/QC teams.
• Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support efficient stock management.
• Work closely with planning and production departments to achieve operational targets.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in manufacturing or merchandising.
• 5–8 years proven experience in ladieswear manufacturing/merchandising.
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes and supplier management.
• Experience with costing, sourcing and production coordination.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational abilities.
