Maintenance Planner

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support its Boksburg site. You will work closely with the operations department, engineers, foremen, stores and artisans to ensure an effective maintenance operation and minimise production downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage engineering maintenance schedules for the factory.
• Maintain engineering master data on the CMMS (buildApp, SAP).
• Identify and implement improvements to on‑site maintenance processes.
• Coach engineering staff on CMMS and planning skills.
• Implement preventive maintenance (PM) plans with assistance from engineering and foremen.
• Manage the parts inventory system, including purchase orders, issues, returns, adjustments and blocked invoices.
• Liaise with the engineering storeman to keep accurate inventory records and critical spares matrix.
• Provide management with required maintenance and inventory reports.
• Develop and maintain procedures for parts handling and work orders, ensuring plant compliance.
• Oversee the work order system, entering or supervising work order entries and notifications.

Required profile

• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, engineering, foremen and store personnel.
• Accountability for maintaining plant parts availability to minimise downtime.
• Experience managing budgets and driving cost‑saving projects.
