Cooker Operator

About the role

The Cooker Operator is responsible for running cooking and processing equipment in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring that production runs safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CCP equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Apply HACCP principles and maintain hygiene standards.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Report wastage, record downtime, and conduct routine equipment checks.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and report any safety concerns.
• Document and communicate deviations to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Functional literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to understand process specifications, recipes, and interpret production data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Team‑player with self‑motivation and personal discipline.
• Open to training and acquiring multi‑skill capabilities.
