Machine Operator – 2 Openings

About the role

PepsiCo is looking for two dedicated Machine Operators to join its production team. Reporting to the shift supervisor, you will be responsible for operating the Fawema packaging machine and ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Fawema machine and start‑up the equipment according to manual specifications.
• Identify the product loaded in the machine and verify that the correct packing material is used.
• Visually inspect product texture, quality and packaging integrity.
• Place packing material in the magazine, checking dates and best‑before information.
• Monitor weight of packed product, metal detector functionality and glue seal quality.
• Perform palletising of finished goods.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, safety and hygiene procedures.

Required profile

• Matric/N1 qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) production environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work in heated areas.
