Machine Operator – Production Line

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team at PepsiCo. You will work on a Fawema packaging line, ensuring that products are processed, packed, and released according to strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the shift supervisor at the start and end of each shift.
• Operate the Fawema machine and perform start‑up procedures following the manual.
• Identify the product loaded in the machine and verify that the correct packing material is used.
• Visually inspect product texture, quality, and packaging integrity.
• Check dates, best‑before labels, and weight of packed product.
• Ensure the metal detector and glue seals are functioning correctly.
• Perform palletising of finished goods.
• Maintain HACCP, GMP, safety and hygiene compliance throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Matric/N31 qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work in heated production areas.
