Logistics Manager – Inbound & Quality Operations

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead inbound logistics, quality assurance and rebate stock management for a high‑volume manufacturing plant. You will coordinate deliveries, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule inbound material deliveries in line with production plans and demand forecasts.
• Manage ESO to avoid production disruptions and coordinate unloading, inspection and system entry of goods.
• Oversee rebate stock, enforce audit and policy compliance, and maintain inventory traceability with finance and procurement.
• Track R/1000 metrics, conduct root‑cause analysis with quality teams and implement preventive actions.
• Lead quality assurance checks for inbound parts and final line inspections.
• Manage special conversion suppliers and fitment centre interfaces.
• Forecast material requirements, coordinate ordering and maintain inventory visibility.
• Supervise logistics and quality personnel and produce performance dashboards.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 6 (Diploma or Degree) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
• At least 5 years of logistics/supply‑chain experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing or high‑volume distribution environments.
