About the role
Alpha is looking for a Litigation Executive to manage a civil litigation caseload in Umhlanga Ridge, South Africa. The role supports Litigation Executives and Claims Handlers, handling case documentation, client communication and coordination with solicitors and insurers.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents such as applications, offers, orders and directions.
- Attend and contribute to telephone conferences with clients, solicitors and insurers.
- Manage cases in line with Service Level Agreements, creating action plans and meeting deadlines.
- Review quantum, assess general and special damages and develop comprehensive case plans.
- Conduct telephone negotiations with third‑party solicitors, insurers and lay clients.
- Liaise regularly with third‑party solicitors, insurers, own insurer clients and lay clients to maintain positive relationships.
Required profile
- LLB degree (essential).
- Minimum six months legal experience as an admitted attorney or candidate attorney.
- Experience in civil litigation, preferably with motor vehicle accident, Road Accident Fund or contract law matters.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong initiative, problem‑solving ability and professional telephone manner.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Standard working hours (9:00 am–6:00 pm or 10:00 am–7:00 pm).
