Junior Buyer – Procurement (1-2 yrs Experience)

About the role

Mukuru is seeking a proactive Junior Buyer to support its Group Procurement function. You will work with data, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure purchase orders are accurate, deliveries are on time, and spend is managed within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Convert approved requisitions into compliant purchase orders, aligning with contracts and pricing.
• Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations to support sourcing decisions.
• Track open purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and resolve delivery or invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Finance to close three‑way match issues and support monthly AP closure.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, compliance documentation and audit reporting.
• Maintain procurement data, contribute to spend tracking and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in procurement or supply‑chain environments.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Understanding of compliance policies and procurement governance.
• Exposure to ERP or procurement systems.
• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Finance or similar.

Required skills

• ERP (experience with any enterprise resource planning system).
