Insurance Broker – Short & Commercial Lines

About the role

OUTsurance is looking for a dynamic Insurance Broker to expand its short‑term and commercial insurance portfolio in Bloemfontein. You will be responsible for prospecting new clients, building a book of business, and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop the short‑term insurance portfolio by acquiring new personal and commercial lines customers.
• Prospect, canvass, and generate new business sales through face‑to‑face interactions.
• Maintain and nurture client relationships to ensure retention and repeat business.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the broker tied‑agent model.
• Collaborate with the sales support function and provide feedback to improve processes.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Analytical, numerical and mathematical ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing responsibilities.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to perform under pressure.
• Strong relationship‑management, presentation and problem‑solving skills.
