About the role
Evergreen Lifestyle is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead HR initiatives across its retirement village portfolio. The role will support the company’s mission of delivering secure, caring, and community‑focused living environments for retirees.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage employee relations, addressing grievances and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment and selection processes.
- Design and deliver training programmes in partnership with senior management.
- Prepare and submit annual training and employment‑equity reports to the Department of Labour.
- Drive transformation initiatives and ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
- Project‑manage people‑related initiatives and maintain accurate HR records.
Required profile
- Minimum five years of experience as an HR Manager, preferably within the hospitality or retirement‑village sector.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
- People‑oriented, results‑driven, with excellent listening and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships at all organisational levels.
- South African citizenship, a valid driver’s licence, and own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel between Cape Town, Paarl and Gauteng as required.
Required skills
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
