About the role

The International Hotel School, Sunninghill Campus is looking for a passionate Higher Education Lecturer to deliver engaging hospitality courses and support student development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, interactive lessons that align with current industry standards.
• Mentor and guide students in both academic progress and career planning.
• Stay abreast of hospitality trends and integrate them into teaching material.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues to continuously improve curriculum and the overall student experience.

Required profile

• NQF Level 7 hospitality qualification (essential).
• Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial).
• Scoped by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
• Proficiency in relevant computer software and strong administrative abilities.
• Solid knowledge of curriculum design and assessment processes.
• Demonstrated record of student throughput and pass rates.
• Minimum 5 years of practical industry experience in hospitality.
• Minimum 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience.
