Higher Education Lecturer – Hospitality

About the role
The International Hotel School, Sunninghill Campus is looking for a passionate Higher Education Lecturer to deliver engaging hospitality courses and support student development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, interactive lessons that align with current industry standards.
- Mentor and guide students in both academic progress and career planning.
- Stay abreast of hospitality trends and integrate them into teaching material.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues to continuously improve curriculum and the overall student experience.
Required profile
- NQF Level 7 hospitality qualification (essential).
- Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial).
- Scoped by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and strong administrative abilities.
- Solid knowledge of curriculum design and assessment processes.
- Demonstrated record of student throughput and pass rates.
- Minimum 5 years of practical industry experience in hospitality.
- Minimum 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience.
